![]() ![]() I am genuinely afraid that a lot of it will be cut away and adapted to fit the new canon. Not to mention the content that I am yet to find. There's a reason why I still like playing through classic RPGs, even if I hate the combat: the dialogue choices, freedom in building a class, the experience of being in an actual world, all the side quests and people that you can talk to. What I'm afraid, as a complete newbie to KOTOR, is in how they are going to handle the rest of the game. Crushing all resistance, Malak’s war of conquest has left. Darth Malak, last surviving apprentice of the Dark Lord Revan, has unleashed an invincible Sith armada upon an unsuspecting galaxy. Which is good for me, but I can understand that fans of the OG will not appreciate the change. STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic (2003): Four thousand years before the rise of the Galactic Empire, the Republic verges on collapse. Being a remake, I'm pretty sure there's going to be huge chunks of the game missing, and fans of the RTwP model will probably just as disappointed as Baldur's Gate's fans when it was announced that BG3 would be fully turn-based: I'm expecting this new KOTOR to be either completely turn-based, or more in-line with the gameplay of Souls, Dragon's Dogma, Witcher or perhaps Fallen Order but revamped. Decided to dust it off and see what the hype is all about.Īs someone that cannot stand RTwP combat (hence why it's on Easy, I really can't stand it), I'm still nonetheless loving the game so far! Had KOTOR sitting in my GOG library forever.
